Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group Launches a New Audiobook Program, Expands Catalog Offerings
October 28, 2019, Lanham, MD — Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group has launched a new audiobook program. Beginning with The Next Millionaire Next Door: Enduring Strategies for Building Wealth (Lyons Press) earlier this year, the Rowman & Littlefield Audio program will publish a total of 35 audio titles in 2019, and 50 audio titles in 2020.
On November 22nd, Rowman & Littlefield will debut its first simultaneous releases of digital audio, eBook, and print editions with Get Tusked: The Inside Story of Fleetwood Mac's Most Anticipated Album and Sympathy for the Drummer: Why Charlie Watts Matters, both from its Backbeat imprint. Sympathy for the Drummer is narrated by the author, Mike Edison, who is an internationally known musician and host of the Arts & Seizures show on the Heritage Radio Network.

The company will publish audiobooks in a range of subject areas including history, self-help, business, and pop-culture. Upcoming titles include: Abused: Surviving Sexual Assault and a Toxic Gymnastics Culture (Rowman & Littlefield); the timely Democracy In Danger: How Hackers and Activists Exposed Fatal Flaws in the Election System (Rowman & Littlefield); Hateland: A Long, Hard Look at America's Extremist Heart (Prometheus); Al Schmitt on the Record and The Magic Behind the Music (Rowman & Littlefield); and The Shawshank Redemption Revealed (Lyons Press).
Rowman & Littlefield is working with Findaway to produce most of its initial audiobook titles. The company’s digital audio titles will be available to all major retailers, and library customers.
