PUBLICITY INTERN SPRING 2019
Rowman & Littlefield, a publisher in Lanham, Maryland, is currently accepting resumes for Spring 2019 from students interested in exploring a career in publishing within its marketing and publicity department.

Students accepted will train and learn all operations of the department, including assisting with review copy mailings, social media campaigns and engagement outreach, managing an author events calendar, creation of press releases, mailing list building and attending marketing meetings. Shadow days with editorial and other marketing managers will be essential as well.

Students in all majors will be considered, but Marketing, Public Relations, and Communications students will be given preference. This internship offers a flexible schedule, but candidates must provide their availability and schedule (academic and otherwise) for the requisite semester when applying.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite a plus.

Because Rowman & Littlefield is committed to the growth of tomorrow’s publishing leaders, students selected as interns are expected to gain practical and valuable experience not only in their primary area of study, but with regard to the publishing industry as a whole. Candidates must be able to receive academic credit or fulfill a graduation requirement to be accepted into this unpaid internship position.
