Rowman & Littlefield, a publisher based in Lanham, MD, is currently accepting resumes for Summer 2020 from students interested in exploring a career in publishing within its marketing, engagement, and publicity department.

Students accepted will train and learn all facets of the operations of this fast-paced and energetic team, including assisting with social media campaigns and engagement outreach, copyediting and preparing print materials, creation of press releases, review copy mailings, mailing list building, special sales research, and attending marketing meetings. Shadow days with editorial and other teams will be coordinated.

Students in all majors will be considered, but marketing, public relations, and communications students will be given preference. This internship offers a flexible schedule, but candidates must provide their availability and schedule (academic and otherwise) for the requisite semester when applying. Academic credit from an accredited institution of higher education must be available to all who apply for this unpaid opportunity. 

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite a plus.
