DIGITAL & SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT MANAGER (L-31-18)
Do you love books and connecting with readers? Rowman & Littlefield is looking for a digital and social engagement manager to create impactful and targeted digital, social, email, and publicity campaigns for key books, brand awareness, audience growth, and community engagement. This role collaborates with management to craft an innovative content strategy and brand story to support forecasted objectives for our marketing and sales team and builds on traditional publicity efforts to generate engagement across channels. This position reports to the company’s Lanham, MD headquarters (near Washington, D.C.).
Staying on top of current trends, social ad platform changes and social advertising strategies to ensure our efforts are leading-edge.
Serves as the lead coordinator for internal stakeholders, ensuring program effectiveness, offering training and guidance on personas, automation, and ROI measurement across digital and social platforms.
Creates, maintains and optimizes digital advertising campaigns and SEM on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Amazon, and Google Ads.
Tracks and reports channel, inbound, and outbound analytics for paid and organic campaigns and prepares reports for internal stakeholders.
Conducts market research, competitive audits, and audience segmentation for digital and email marketing campaigns and community management for clients.
Assists with publicity project management, external communications, and provides consultations for social marketing plans and business development as needed.
Detail-oriented with strong project management, organization and time management skills.
Strong phone and presentation skills, with experience in account management preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Strong understanding of social networking and digital marketing i.e., blogs, social networks, blogging, podcasts/video, coding, and UX.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably within the subjects of marketing and/or communications.
5 years of progressive, related experience, including experience with organic social storytelling, paid digital ad buying, and analytics reporting.
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
