Administrative Assistant (L-26-19) | Rowman & Littlefield
Rowman & Littlefield is seeking an experienced, full-time Administrative Assistant to support the Production Services Group. This position is based out of our headquarters in Lanham, Maryland and will report directly to the Vice President of Production Services.

  • Routine clerical/administrative functions such as drafting correspondence, organizing electronic files, answering phones, data entry, etc.
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reports
  • Process weekly invoices
  • Update records and reports in Excel
  • Maintain and manage database of freelance workers
  • Perform weekly processing and shipment of printed copies of books to the Library of Congress
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
Skill Requirements:
  • 2+ years’ experience in office administration is desired
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems: File and record management, use of standard office equipment and database management
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality stands for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge and proficiency in computers and computer applications such as Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and Access
Education & Experience:
  • High School diploma/GED
