VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES (L-17-18)
is a supplemental publisher of ELA print and digital resources that support PreK-8 students, especially in the areas of reading comprehension and early literacy. Our standards-aligned literacy programs are designed to provide meaningful, interactive experiences with informational and literary texts, and purposeful and explicit instruction.
understands that no single teaching method is best for all students. We publish a wide range of reading solutions that can be used in whole group, guided and independent reading settings, with leveled books and content for on- and below-level readers that are supported with effective and easy-to-use teaching materials.
We are currently recruiting for the position of VP of Sales. This position reports to the president of Sundance/Newbridge and is responsible for planning and implementing sales strategies towards the PreK-8 market. The Vice President is a key member of the business development process focused on prospecting, managing, and establishing partnerships with current and potential clients. In addition, this position will mentor, inspire, and motivate the sales organization to increase productivity and effectiveness.
Develop and lead an established sales organization to include direct field sales, telesales, and independent reps.
Familiarity with the educational market place and what it takes to facilitate public school district’s procurement process.
Provide valuable market intelligence to the product development process.
Develop and manage territory sales plans to ensure sales and revenue goals are achieved.
Ensure that the sales organization has the resources, knowledge, skills, and developmental plans to achieve their assigned sales plans and performance goals.
Provide monthly, quarterly forecasts and annual revenue budgets.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10-15 years progressive sales experience.
Proficient use of computer software, specifically sales planning, forecasting and tracking tools, such as CRM software and Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, speaking, writing, and presenting skills.
This is a HANDS-ON-ROLE, with the ability to pursue, manage, and close new accounts with a track record of goal attainment in selling and maintaining customer relationships.
Ability to travel up to a minimum of 25% of the time.
