RIGHTS & PERMISSIONS ASSISTANT (L-16-19)
Rowman & Littlefield is seeking a Rights & Permissions Assistant to maintain contract files and databases, fulfil permission requests, process revenue and perform additional research and administrative duties as requested. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail essential.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Rights & Permissions Director.

Responsibilities:
  • Research, process and fulfil permission requests
  • Accurate entry of all revenue received for sublicense and permission contracts
  • Ensure contract payments are paid within the agreement terms
  • Maintain contract files
  • Generate monthly royalty report
  • Forward licensed editions and review copies to appropriate author or editor
  • Write standard reversion letters
  • Provide administrative support to the Rights and Permissions Director
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills
  • Team oriented, but also able to work independently and efficiently
  • Ability to Multi-task
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially excel and easily adaptable to new computer systems
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, English or equivalent work experience
