HUMAN RESOURCES COORDINATOR (L-14-16)
Rowman & Littlefield is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator who is passionate about providing exemplary service and support to our customer base. In this position you will have the opportunity to gain experience in many aspects of Human Resources and will support the Human Resources team by carrying out administrative responsibilities in the following functional areas; benefits administration, recruiting and selection, records management and risk management.

Benefits Administration:
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefit plans including, but not limited to:
    • 401K enrollments and qualified events
    • Worker’s compensation claims support
    • FMLA tracking and administration
    • Answering routine benefits questions for employees and assist employees in the online benefits enrollment process

Recruitment and Selection:
  • Maintain organization and workflow within the online talent module: updating the status of applicants and open requisitions, as well as accurate applicant data entry
  • Coordinating job posts across channels
  • Administering pre-employment screening/testing
  • Assist in onboarding process and training sessions
Records Administration and Risk Management:
  • Maintain digital record organization and accuracy within the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and within our digital HR filing system. This may include digitizing existing physical files
  • Assist in the develop and administration of health and safety programs
  • Become familiar with and assist in the administration of environmental safety and emergency preparedness
In addition to the above candidates will have:
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience in human resources; general knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Associate’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Exemplary communication skills and a high-level of detail orientation - responds well to direction, and asks questions to improve performance
  • Knowledge of using online systems for data organization
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite required, Adobe Software, and experience with ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
  • Ability to maintain high-level of confidentiality in all practices
