EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CT (G-03-19)
Rowman & Littlefield is seeking an Editorial Assistant to provide editorial and administrative support to the Executive Editor and Acquiring Editors of non-fiction trade titles at our location in Guilford, CT (FalconGuides).

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process contracts and prepare payment requests
  • Prepare manuscripts and materials to transmit books to production department
  • Update records and reports in Excel and company systems
  • Read and evaluate book proposals
  • Write standard rejection letters
  • Request price quotes from manufacturing
  • Book imprint meetings and maintain weekly meeting schedules
  • Forward incoming mail, emails, and reader queries to appropriate author or editor
  • Maintain editorial library
  • Other editorial and administrative duties as assigned

Education & Experience:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, English or equivalent work experience (and/or Editorial internship experience)
