Returns Supervisor - Returns Department (B-86-18) | Rowman & Littlefield

Rowman & Littlefield is seeking a Returns Supervisor. This position coordinates and supervises all functions of the Returns Department.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Updates and distributes accurate daily reports
  • Insures open work transactions are completed in a timely manner
  • Researches problems with inventory, customer accounts, and price points
  • Assures that all returned stock is accurately credited to the appropriate customer's account
  • Assures that all returned stock is accurately sorted for restocking or pulping
  • Trains employees to follow WMW procedures and does not deviate from written procedures
  • Maintains all procedures for pulping stock
  • Coordinates returns deliveries with customers and/or carriers
  • Directly supervises employees in the Returns Department
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
