Customer Service Representatives (B-65-18) | Rowman & Littlefield

Primary Job Functions:
  • Provide prompt and effective first contact telephone and email support to customers
  • Answers incoming calls from customers & internal and external staff
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues and customer concerns in a quick and efficient manner
  • Process orders (mail & phone)
  • Work effectively with other departments to resolve issues
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of the evolving procedures & customer requirements
  • Document and update customer records based on interactions
  • Recognized when to escalate any customer service questions/issues to Supervisor
  • Manage in-bound email box promptly
  • Always maintain professional and courteous verbal & written communications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisor to support department & company goals.

Required Skills:
  • High school diploma; Some college preferred
  • Two plus year’s experience in a Customer Service / Call Center Sales environment
  • Specific experience in demonstrable trouble shooting skills, preferred
  • Basic Computer Knowledge a must, Fluent in Internet Explorer, Microsoft office products & general computer competencies
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel a must. Please be prepared to demonstrate knowledge & experience with Excel.
