ChrisMcIntyre went to Africa in 1987, after reading physics at Queen's College,Oxford. He taught with VSO in Zimbabwe for almost three years and travelledextensively, before co-authoring the UK's first guide to Namibia and Botswana forBradt Travel Guides. He is now managing director of the specialist touroperator Expert Africa, and travels regularly to Africa, researching andupdating his Bradt guides to Botswana, Namibia and Zanzibar, as well as Zambia.He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.
