Judith Thompson Witmer holds an academic appointment at Penn State University. A former school administrator, Witmer has managed various projects for the Pennsylvania Department of Education and has been a program evaluator and researcher for the Penn State College of Medicine, Johns Hopkins Medical Center, and Milton Hershey School.
Many of the problems both men and women face as administrators are addressed head-on, from where to sit at a meeting to dealing with difficult people, from how aggressive to be when advocating a new program to decisions on the homefront. ... I wish this book had been available to me when I began my educational administrative career.
— School Administrator
