Kendra Yoshinaga is the top speller in Ventura County, California. In 2006, she tied for 14th place in the 79th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee. She is an avid reader who enjoys novels, music, blogging, politics, and has a concern about the environment and world peace. She is also a university talent search participant.
David Endelman's cartoons have appeared in local newspapers as well as national and international publications. His interests in graphics range from cartooning to cartography to computer generated fine art. He is also the illustrator of The Big Squeal: A Wild, True, and Twisted Tail (2005) and Life's Little Lessons: An Inch By Inch Tale of Success (2006).
