MITCHELL ROLLS is senior lecturer and coordinator of Aboriginal Studies in the School of Humanities, University of Tasmania. His most recent monographs include Australia's Ancient Aboriginal Past: A Global Perspective (Australian Scholarly Publishing, 2014), and Van Diemen's Land: An Aboriginal History (New South Wales University Press, 2015, co-authored with Ian McFarlane).
