Mac Yasuda is one of the world’s foremost guitar experts and collectors, and has authored and photographed several books and countless magazine articles about them in Japan. As a singer and guitarist, he’s performed numerous times on the Grand Ole Opry and other stages, and in 1996 released a CD, Hey Good Lookin’, of Hank Williams songs. He’s been involved in numerous pursuits, including helping to producehis friend Steven Seagal’s films in Asia, but his first love remains music and guitars.
Jim Washburn is the author, with Dick Boak, of The Martin Archives, and coauthored Martin Guitars: An Illustrated Celebration of America’s Greatest Guitarmaker with Richard Johnston. His writing about guitars has appeared in the Fretboard Journal and other publications. Since 1983, he has written about popular culture, music, film, politics, and humor for the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register, the OC Weekly, the BostonGlobe, MSN, and others. He is very much looking forward to writing some books that are free of facts and organizational skills.
