Jeffrey Morrison is a practicing architect with a Masters of Architecture degree from Tulane University. He has lived in Atlanta since 1996. For over twelve years, he has been giving free walking tours known as Unseen Underground. He has taught design studios at Kennesaw State University’s School of Architecture, and has built an installation for Art on the Beltline. His architectural projects span a range of building types, usually in civic or educational settings, and tend to be inspired by contextualism, materiality, and creating a sense of place. His great-great-grandfather fabricated parts for George Stephenson’s Rocket locomotive. Alongside his father, he has been riding, photographing, and occasionally operating steam trains his whole life.
