Laura Brienza began her writing career in Washington, DC when she was a student at Georgetown University. As a reporter for The Hoya, Laura's first assignment was to cover Afghan President Hamid Karzai's visit to campus. Ever since, she's been hooked on exploring DC's unique, storied place in history. She has explored the city's many museums, hotspots, and neighborhoods as a tourist, resident, and artist. Her non-fiction has been seen in Flavor & The Menu, Chicken Soup for the Soul, and 20 Something Magazine. Her plays have been developed and produced at the Kennedy Center, Lark Play Development Center, FringeNYC, Capital Fringe, Luna Stage, Midtown Direct Rep, and Off The Wall Performing Arts Center. She also writes for film and TV. In her spare time, Laura enjoys racing triathlons. She lives in New York City.
