Philadelphia natives and award-winning travel writers Michael and Larissa Milne quit their jobs, sold their house and gave away their possessions to travel around the world for a year with a Rocky statue. After traveling to six continents they returned to Philadelphia to write about their favorite city. They brought back a newfound global perspective; viewing Philadelphia through the fresh eyes of wanderers returning home and discovering new pleasures in their own backyard. They write about their adventures on their travel blog at ChangesinLongitude.com, which won the 2013 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Silver Award for Best Travel Blog. The judging committee declared, “Changes in Longitude makes even the most daring travel seem easy, and the writers tell stories of their journeys that are intimate, accessible and fun.” Michael and Larissa share their travel stories in the Philadelphia Inquirer, Huffington Post, Travel + Escape and other media outlets. They are also members of the Society of American Travel Writers.
