The Editor, through his childhood memories, professional experiences, and journey around the world, makes a powerful connection between a bridge builder and a leader using the “Rainbow Bridge” as a metaphor. Read this book, be a global school leader who improves education and builds bridges for his/her community and the world!
— Abdourahmane Barry, PhD, Educational Leadership and Policy, Taibah University, Medina, Saudi Arabia
This book will be essential reading for researchers, educators and anyone involved in preparing future school leaders and supporting current school leaders. Only an experienced teacher, leader and scholar like Peter Litchka, based on his numerous international experiences, could explore school leadership from a number of international perspectives and include a multinational approach to universal school leadership development.
— Anna Kienig, PhD, faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, University of Bialystok, Poland
Whether we refer to primary, secondary or post-secondary education, school leadership has been one of the most researched areas in education, due to its fundamental and critical role in promoting educational success and improvement. As the world is becoming more globalized and flatter (Friedman, 2005), we thrive to learn more about what works elsewhere. Prof. Litchka’s book, which further explores this significant topic via multinational lenses, is highly challenging and beneficial.
