As a professional in the field of psychiatry, I am very pleased to see that an intelligent book on the subject of becoming a Learning Coach is available to both parents and teachers. The book, Brain Gains: So, You Want to be Your Child’s Learning Coach by Dr. David Sortino offers parents and teachers hands-on learning techniques that only individuals who work as Learning Coaches and/ or Learning Specialists possess.
I highly recommend this book, whether one is a professional in the field of psychology, a teacher, or a parent. His writing is based on personal experiences as a learning specialist as well as his many years as a professional in the fields of educational psychology, special education, and brain science. Finally, we have a practical, fascinating guide to dealing with current issues in child rearing and education, especially in regard to creating a successful learning brain for the child.
