Moïse (history, Clemson U.) presents a cross-referenced historical dictionary of the Vietnam War that includes entries on significant persons, places, events, armed units, battles, and weapons, as well as important terms. Domestic political opposition to the war is somewhat covered, even if the bulk of the material is focused on the war itself. Before the presentation of the dictionary, Moïse provides a chronology and an introductory essay that gives an overview of the war and considers some enduring historical debates. Also included are a names index and a military operations index.
