W. R. Brookman is professor of Old Testament in the Institute of Biblical & Theological Studies at North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is a former Andrew W. Mellon Faculty Fellow at Harvard University, where he taught in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. Brookman has served as the president of the Upper Midwest Region of the Society of Biblical Literature, and he has taught in the areas of biblical studies and intercultural studies for over thirty years. His interests lie in antiquity, culture, and languages.
