Teachers Leading
The Teachers Leading series is about teachers taking the lead in education, one school at a time. It is about teachers recognizing that teaching is in a difficult place these days and that nobody is going to get the teaching profession to a better place but teachers, themselves.

Learning communities present teachers the best pathway to create for themselves the conditions they most want, places that promote high levels of teacher learning and effective teaching. Learning communities invite greater teacher thinking, participation, and decision making. They invite the creation of schools where teachers evaluate the effects of instruction and schooling and then design and implement the changes that will improve both. Thereby, teachers, themselves, will create unique schools that serve the custom learning and achievement needs of teachers and the communities they serve.

Learning communities are the way to 21st century teaching.
