Latin American Silhouettes
Beezley, a University of Nebraska PhD. and Ewell, a University of New Mexico PhD., teamed up to edit the first book published by SR Books in Latin American studies, The Human Tradition in Latin America: the 20th Century. Shortly thereafter they proposed co-editing a series for SR Books. Both are highly esteemed historians with impeccable publishing records. Spearheaded by two esteemed historians, this multifaceted series explores the myriad cultural and historical dimensions of Latin America. Offering scholarly monographs, translations, reprinted classics, biographies, general works, and textbooks, the series is designed to stimulate our curiosity about the region and interpret the rich traditions and multifacted histories of the peoples of Latin America. Exposure to the greater part of the Americas will encourage better understanding among the nations and enrich our domestic culture.
