Generation X: Studies in Culture, Demographics, and Media Representation
This series examines generation X, a group of people that has been often overlooked, obscured, and marginalized by the publishing world, mainstream media, and the larger society. This series analyzes the intersections of age, culture, demographics, and media by developing a greater understanding of how the multi-faceted experiences of generation X will continue to evolve and transform.
The scholarship represented in this series seeks to push beyond linear stereotypes and explore new and potentially forthcoming issues including, but not limited to:
Race and representation
Identity politics and social networks
Gender and sexuality
Health and disability issues
Marriage
Class and economics
Divorce
Religion
Politics
Career issues
Family
Popular culture
Books in the series will address one or more of these issues as they pertain to specific aspects of generation X.
