Jaguar Books on Latin America
Beezley co-authored The Oxford History of Mexico and many other prize-winning books; MacLachlan has written or edited seven books, including Forging the Cosmic Race. Jaguar Books is a series of books for use in undergraduate courses in history, political science, Latin American Studies, and Chicano and Hispanic studies. Each volume consists of a mix of previously published articles, commissioned pieces, and documents on a particular topic of broad interest with an introduction written by the volume editor placing the topic and the selections in context. A short bibliography of recommended works in English for further study completes each volume. The series constitutes a mini-library from which professors can choose when ordering books for their classes.
