Classics in Gender Studies
Each generation of scholars rediscovers the "classics" that it needs. These works ground our contemporary research and provide historical context. What makes them "classics" is not simply that they're old, but that they continue to speak to contemporary concerns. Sadly, many brilliant works works by major scholars and thinkers that were so influential in their time have passed out of print. The books in this series will reintroduce these works both to established scholars and to a new generation of students and researchers as they examine the origins of our understanding of contemporary gender relations.
