Archaeology of Southeast Asia
Although archaeological research in Southeast Asia has produced many major new discoveries, there are few works of synthesis to bring research results to a wider audience. This series is designed to fill a serious gap in the available literature by taking a real and thematic approaches to a past that encompasses the span from the presence of Homo erectus to recent historical eras. Due to the rarity of up to date and authoritative books, general syntheses of world prehistory designed for the college student almost invariably rely on outdated sources. In order to redress this situation, this series will introduce wherever possible, younger archaeologists actively involved in fieldwork. This will be a unique series, and one which will properly put the early cultures of Southeast Asia on world stage for the first time.
