American Library Association Equality Award Announced
We are proud to announce that the 2016 American Library Association Equality Award, sponsored by Rowman & Littlefield, has been awarded to Nicole A. Cooke, an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a faculty affiliate at the Center for Digital Inclusion. The annual ALA Equality Award is given to an individual or group for outstanding contribution towards promoting equality within the world of libraries. Cooke’s passionate advocacy for equality, her experience in leading diversity initiatives, and her dedicated approach to social justice mark her as an excellent choice for this honor.
